Description
MODEL RELEASED: Stereo computer glasses. A researcher wearing Stereo Spectacles, a system for viewing 3-dimensional images from a computer screen. Here the researcher is 'manipulating' a model of a biological molecule. Stereo Spectacles use liquid crystals in the glasses. These flicker alternately at 50 cycles per second. This matches the screen display speed of the computer, which displays alternate left and right views of the molecule. Thus, the left glass is clear when the left view is displayed. Due to persistence of vision, the operator is able to fuse the images into a stereo view.
